Sealed bids or electronically submitted bids through the Online Plan Room will be received by the Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority (herein called “GBRAA” or the “Owner”) in the Office of Executive Director, 3rd floor, Passenger Terminal Bldg., Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, 14035-L Airport Road, Gulfport, MS 39503,
until 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 and then in the GBRAA conference room on the 3rd floor, Passenger Terminal Bldg., Gulfport, MS shortly thereafter publicly opened for:

2019 SECURITY FENCE REPLACEMENT
GULFPORT-BILOX I INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The work is generally described as follows:

Remove and replace approximately 5,000 LF (base bid) and up to an additional 10,360 LF (all additive alternates) of security fencing in conjunction with associated storm sewer improvements and site grading.

The contract time for the base bid is 110 consecutive calendar days, with a maximum contract time of 340 consecutive calendar days with all additive alternates. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day thereafter.

A pre-bid conference is planned for this project on May 2, 2019 at 1:30 PM in the Airport Conference Room, Third Floor of the Terminal Building at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, 14035-L Airport Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. It is strongly recommended that prospective bidders attend the Pre-Bid Conference.

Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid.

ALL BIDDERS must be properly licensed contractors at the time of submitting bids in accordance with the provisions of the State of Mississippi. Contractors submitting a written sealed bid must indicate their current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their Bid as well as on their Bid. If the Bid is being submitted electronically through the Online Plan Room, the Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number must be included as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal as well as on their Bid. To be considered, a bid for 2019 Security Fence Replacement must be either sealed, and have clearly written on the face of the envelope the following: “Sealed bid enclosed for Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority 2019 Security Fence Replacement to be opened 2:00 PM, May 21st, 2019” or if submitted electronically through the Online Plan Room, the first page of an electronically submitted bid must state the same language as required on the face of the sealed envelope.
