The Clarksdale-Coahoma County Board of Supervisors is requesting sealed bids for Runway 18/36 Rehabilitation. All bids will be received by the Clarksdale-Coahoma County Board of Supervisors at 115 1st Street, Clarksdale, Mississippi, 38614 until 11:00 AM Local Time on May 17, 2024. Timely received bids will be opened and read aloud beginning at 11:05 AM on May 17, 2024, in the Coahoma County Board of Supervisor’s Board Room located at the Coahoma County Administrator’s Office. Bids received after 11:00 AM will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

The work is generally described as follows:

Runway 18/36 Rehabilitation shall include implementation of construction safety and phasing plan, removing existing runway pavement markings, installing asphalt crack and pavement sealant (P-608), and installation of new runway pavement markings.

The contract time for the Bid is 45 Consecutive Calendar Days. Contractors shall commence construction within 30 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and shall complete all work within 15 consecutive calendar days after construction commencement date. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.

A pre-bid conference for this project will be scheduled for May 07, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Fletcher Field FBO Conference Room to discuss the work. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference and perform a site visit of the project area prior to bidding.
